coleslaw is a salad but it's in the category with chicken/egg/cranberry/marshmallow/etc salads, not leaf salads
I know I try to dissuade the Food Categorization Argument stuff on here & I know I’m stepping into a hornet’s nest like this but I’ve always been kind of fascinated by Salad etymology. You’ve got people fighting tooth and nail over whether something is a bread or a pastry or both, whether something is a soup or a stew or both. You got a serving of some mostly-dry stuff tossed together with some wet? Sure, that’s salad. Whatever. It honestly rules. I gotta look more into the etymology and history of the term some day.

sometimes i think about how the side villain dude in tron legacy is named "rinzler". as in the lore there is a character named "cutter", this implies that "rinzler" can perform an action known as a "rinzle". it's never shown on screen what rinzling would entail but i like to think on the possibilities if we had ever been to see it
Rinzler’s a real ass surname. Granted, those tend to sometimes be associated historically with careers or jobs, but I did a quick search to learn more and mostly just ended up with this really funny screenshot.
