I was wondering, does Professor Layton count as a wizard? Large hat. Studies ancient tomes. Travels with an apprentice. Has animal companions. The hat is also large.
I feel like “counting as” a wizard, like any other career, depends largely on how you self-describe & how your employer describes you. I think Layton’s too grounded a guy to call himself that.
