i dont understand why people keep sending me asks where the entire content is just the name of a leftist political ideology (anarchism is leftist i think?) and nothing else. there’s no content. there’s nothing i can say about this, there’s nothing for me to talk about, other than the fact that there’s nothing i can talk about. i don’t understand WHY this keeps happening? and i kind of don’t like it. i dont know if this is one person doing this or multiple people but either way please stop

thank you for your message. Gumby is an American clay animation franchise, centered on a green clay humanoid character created and modeled by Art Clokey. The character has been the subject of two television series as well as a feature-length film and other media. Since the original series’ run, he has become well known as an example of stop motion clay animation and an influential cultural icon, spawning many tributes, parodies, and merchandising.

Gumby follows the titular character and his adventures through different environments and times in history. Gumby’s principal sidekick is Pokey, a talking orange pony. His nemeses are the Blockheads, a pair of humanoid, red-colored figures with cube-shaped heads, who wreak mischief and havoc. The Blockheads were inspired by The Katzenjammer Kids, who were always getting into scrapes and causing discomfort to others. Other characters are Prickle, a yellow dinosaur who sometimes styles himself as a detective with pipe and deerstalker hat like Sherlock Holmes, and Goo, a flying blue mermaid who spits blue goo balls and can change shape at will. Also featured are Gumby’s dog Nopey, whose entire vocabulary is the word “nope,” and Gumby’s parents, Gumbo and Gumba. The later syndicated series in 1988 added Gumby’s sister Minga and mastodon friend Denali.

i have a hard time finding good actual play podcasts, would you mind giving some recommendations?

The Adventure Zone is the big one you’ll hear recommended on this website the website. i like it! you’ve probably heard like 183 people sing its praises already though, and i’m sure there are people smarter & better at writing than me who can tell you the specifics of why it’s so good

Six Feats Under is probably my favourite? it’s been running since 2012 and their big thing has been a long running campaign of 13th Age (which ended recently) but they also like to play all sorts of other tabletop games with a variety of cool people. has a bit of a… rough start, unfortunately, in a lot of regards, but eventually the stories really start picking up steam, the players all become a lot more comfortable and fun, and the podcast in general becomes a lot more… inclusive, and welcoming, in terms of the stories it tries to tell and the people on the podcast playing / telling these stories. a big focus of the podcast is shared narratives, the idea of the players having a lot of agency and say over both the personal stories they want to tell with their characters & the grander over-arching narratives, rather than it just be the GM in charge of everything (also the GM for most of the games is General Ironicus of Chip & Ironicus LP fame, which is cool in itself if you ask me, but also the dude’s REAL good at GMing & building fantasy worlds that aren’t just bog-standard tolkien-esque stuff). it’s real good and i recommend it highly

i haven’t had the chance to listen to much of Friends At The Table but i’ve heard similarly high praises for that, so that’s probably worth a look. hoping to catch up on that myself some time soon

i don’t know very much about Critical Role but a lot of folks i know are into it, so that might be something worth listening to as well. i think they stream new episodes on twitch? something to look into, if you haven’t already

that’s about all that comes to mind
