never played a souls game but the general aesthetic of the architecture doesn’t do too much for me, from what bits of it i’ve seen. firelink shrine looks cool though

yeah skyrim’s kinda disappointing with regards to its overall architecture and settlement design. you get a couple things that are like “oh, this is neat” and then most everything else is either “so you liked that eh? let’s show it to you 80 more times”, or worse, Generic Wood And Stone Shack 1 through 7

heck i wasn’t keen on oblivion’s general visual aesthetic but at least they managed to differentiate the nine regions visually, and make them look distinct from one another? in skyrim they did that for like half the capital cities and that was about it, aside from a couple other things. i cry myself to sleep every night thinking about what could have been

it is alright. not everyone knows me or my discomforts very well, and for many people there is an instantaneous association between something vaguely strange or absurd and “Ha Ha, the Funny Drug Time,” which i guess is maybe some general cultural mindset which in itself would be difficult to stop. i forgot the point i was trying to go for here but at best it is ignorable and at worst it is a minor inconvenience, for me personally
