What ever happened to Skippy?

i’m going to be honest, i have no idea what this means

Who cares lmao

????? this is very vague?? what is this in reference to?? something specific i said?? the things i post about in general??

i mean regardless i guess the answer is me. it’s me. i care about the things that i post here, me. the person who uses their personal blog as a platform to share their thoughts and ideas about the things they’re interested in. the person who is me.

& i imagine other people do too, considering how people engage with me and interact with me and the things that i post here

evidently you DON’T care? so… why are you here?? i can’t (and don’t) expect absolutely everyone on this website to be interested in or care about the things i say and think. that’s fine. people like different things, i guess. that’s okay.

i’m assuming you’re following me, and if that’s the case… why? why are you following my personal blog if you don’t care about the things i say and post? no one is making you stay here, i will not be upset if you leave, and evidently i imagine it would improve your experience on the website. so… why not just do that? instead of sending this weird and rude and aggressive message?

& if you’re not following me then why did you take the time out of your day to send this to me? that seems like a waste of time and energy

what a strange and unnecessary message

Oh it's to do with how the physics calculations are tied to frames if I recall correctly. There are provisions for running under 60 obviously but no one in their right mind was thinking 144 when they wrote gamebryo

yeah, it’s such a bizarre bug, i don’t understand the absolute specifics of why it works but it’s fascinating to me. it’s one of those oversights that seems like it might be simple to catch or be aware of in some way?

but also maybe (probably) an issue of “eh this isn’t going to come up or be an issue in any likely or reasonable way / future-proofing is hard and foolish”, especially considering how this is a nearly 5 year old game

weird quirks and bugs in games like this are so fascinating to me i love reading up on them even if i don’t have the knowledge to 100% understand all of it yet

High FPS weirdness is baked in to the engines Bethesda use. It's a result of the retrofitting the shit out of an engine they just plain shouldn't be using any more. So that's not fixable until they (finally) move away from gamebryo unfortunately
Anonymous

yes i am aware it’s an issue with the engine

perhaps they could find some workaround, or perhaps they can find a way to cap the FPS

i can’t claim to understand the nuances of the creation engine because i have used the creation kit very little but i mean the second option i listed is literally something a bunch of mods do, i imagine beth themselves could do Something, theoretically

hey, congrats on getting good grades in all ur classes! :D

thank you

You are the Emoji Mage. You smite the local Goblin Farmer's Market with your powers of emojis.

have you considered… emagi

i carve faces into all available produce and that’s what gives me my incredible power. i have been banned from three provinces now

Multiclass Bard/Wizard
Anonymous

Hell Yeah Hell Yeah Hell Yeah this is my go-to in a lot of systems when i wanna be something magical

one of my favourite characters was conceived as a mix between bard and alchemist

Your class is now Invoker. Instead of summoning Summons or the Dead, you instead summon monsters that you've previously fought.

ooooo this is a neat concept, i like this one a lot. reminds me of blue mages from FF games, but also a summoner, which i’ve always been fond of in a lot of games & systems

chaotic good

i agree & appreciate this but with all due respect (& i really hope this doesn’t come off as mean because i think maybe you just misread something & i do that a lot) the post said “rpg classes” not alignments

…unless Chaotic Good is a class in itself? like some kind of warlock that uses the power of Demons and Change to help the weak and the downtrodden? like Robin Hood but instead of using stealth and wits to steal from the rich it’s using ancient creation magic and Hell Wizards to steal power from dictators and give it back to the people

i like this idea. thank you for your message
