same, probably
unfortunately i lack the means to practice or compete in the GYCL so that is a dream that i must leave on the backburner for now. i am not sure if that makes me ineligible to be a member of the GYCL
but i DO thoroughly enjoy and support any and all Pro YoCo that i see or hear about, and i AM a big fan of baking in all its forms. it is good. it is pure.

thank you for your message. thank you for supporting esports.
hmmm i see why you think this but i… kind of disagree? please forgive me because i’m going to dump out a bunch of text about video games
cataclysm’s focus is basically “do More damage and have More sources of damage” & while damage is obviously useful in multiplayer the main focus of a single-player character should be “maximize damage while still having reasonable survivability,” and some scaling issues mean these skills aren’t at their maximum effectiveness in multiplayer (though they definitely still are good and helpful if you’re making a build around them) so i think it’s fair to say it’s more of a single play oriented tree (though maybe not completely accurate? but that’s just semantics lmao)
the harmony tree does seem to be most useful in multiplayer at first glance, and certainly i’d agree that a good deal of it is extremely useful (maybe to the point of being mandatory for me) in multiplayer situations, but they have a REALLY useful niche in single player. i maybe wouldn’t recommend going all the way down in it for a solo character, but the skills that heal you and buff your damage / fire rate while you have people phaselocked can make a HUGE difference in solo play, and mean you don’t have to lean on transfusion grenades or moxxi weapons or random drops for healing, which makes life so much easier on several fronts
though there are definitely skills that are More effective and advantageous in multiplayer, and even some with benefits that appear exclusively in party play (which is a balancing no-no imo, but BL2 balancing is weird, so it is what it is), so “harmony is mostly a party-oriented tree” is, again, a fair (if maybe slightly inaccurate?) analysis
meanwhile the motion tree focuses on mitigating damage to yourself, while also making your action skill last longer and affect more people, and i feel like the majority of it is always useful to a maya, independent of what sort of build you’re going for or how many people you play with (if any)
so i definitely see where you’re coming from and why you think this, but personally i think it’s more a case of “one tree is especially useful in multiplayer, one tree shines most in single play, and Motion Tree Is Always Good, but they all work well in any situation, to an extent”
sorry for rambling on about this, and thank you for your message
unfortunately in my case when i woke up i started panicking MORE, because some (in retrospect very weak, but when half-asleep and delirious with panic and paranoia it felt like it was very solid) evidence led me to believe that, perhaps, what i dreamed about was real, or at least that something similar had possibly happened, and that i would have no way of knowing
i am too embarrassed and ashamed to elaborate on this in a public environment but i think the thing i am trying to say here is that very often i have a difficult time distinguishing reality from un-reality and it frequently has a very strong impact on my mental and emotional state and well-being.
unfortunately for me when i have a very vivid nightmare there is very rarely a realization that things are fine, or a feeling of relief. it is a flaw. it is a weakness. it is something i need to work on. i hope this isn’t disappointing, and if it is then i am sorry. i am trying to get better.
thank you for your message.
