yeah i’ve gotten some Interesting Messages online from people w.r.t. my gender identity (some along the lines of “you can’t just go from being a man to being able to sit at our table! that’s not how it works!” and some along the lines of “your identity is fake! it doesn’t exist! you’re just doing this for attention or something!”) and i’m not gonna lie it felt pretty discouraging at first but in the end i realized it’s not about what they think, it’s what feels right for ME and what makes me feel good & comfortable & correct
if you’re gender-questioning i definitely encourage you to explore that and think critically about that! think about different identities, try them on for size, see if there’s something that best suits you & that feels right on you! gender can be weird and confusing and i hope you’ll be able to find something in it that makes you feel correct
