like ysolda’s whole thing is she wants to become a good merchant, & when you get married your spouse basically sets up a little shop thing, so i feel like when you marry ysolda it doesn’t really break her character & personality as much as i find it does to other NPCs

there’s a mod (whose name escapes me) that lets you give specific items to your spouse to sell & they set up shop in the nearest hold marketplace & i wanna try it out, i wanna bake pies & forge hammers for my beautiful and strong wife to sell in the city so we can support our family

this is the mod i was talking about if anyone was curious

there are a lot of NPCs in skyrim i always feel bad about marrying, especially if they’re someone like lydia or aela or mjoll & all the other people who are Strong Tough & like to go out adventuring & fighting & stuff, because it basically locks them into staying in a house forever instead of going out and doing the things they used to do

i think that’s part of why i pretty much always end up marrying ysolda, no matter what kind of character i make / play

also there are a couple problems with it w.r.t. Gameplay Stuff

like getting married changes a lot of your spouse’s lines from their original cool follower dialogue to a lot of constant My Love My Sweet My Darling, & generally kinda messes with follower stuff from what i remember

also who would babysit our kids while we’re out of the house??
